why do people always assume everyone has a printer????

I am returning an item that was not the item I wanted (wrong item number etc.) so I called the sender (we had been conversing via email for MONTHS now), and said I need to return it, then they EMAIL me a ups label to print out

I dont own a printer, no place to put it (had to clean for 2 weeks just so the inspectors would be able to be in the condo at the same time I was---not much room for more than 2 people at a time here). This company is really getting me mad, ordered this back in april, got email after email telling me the item would be delayed.....finally they say we are sending out your order---got my order MINUS one of the items which the email said was in it

nope sorry charlie....so then I just called them....oh the warehouse must have messed up, well YEAH.....we dont have that one...would you take it in a bigger size, yeah sure....but no they didnt get the right item number though it was a bigger size than what I had ordered.......
sigh
something tells me I just am not destined to get this item....sad panda (and yes the item actually is a panda plush toy).

Go to your local library, you should be able to print it out there for a small fee I would think. oO But returning items you got from the internet is a major pain.

dont think ours has that kind of ability (if its still open that is), not to mention that would mean I would have to bring it there some way----dont have a floppy drive or a write-able dvd drive either on that computer, and there is no way in this (or any other) persons lifetime that I will use a public computer for anything that requires me to enter a password (eg email, guru, etc).....

try again. They can just send me the bloody thing by the good old fashioned postal service (they need the business I am told). And they might have ASKED if I had a printer before ASSuming that I did, then this would not have even happened (just another reason I dont like the company any longer).

99% of people with computers have at least one printer. *hugs his color laser*

Just cuz you're paranoid of everything on the internet, doesn't mean companies have to cater to you. Any online company you're going to deal with anymore will only send stuff online for you to print. Unless you get the numbers and everything for a UPS store you're out of luck unless you find a printer.

I actually know quite a few people with a computer who do not own/rent/lease a printer as well----its not required to have a printer if you own a laptop/desktop!
And I have contacted the stupid company, again.
They are going to MAIL via the usps one out, geesh.

For the trailer as a library we do have a bus full of books that drives around to different areas for those who can't make it to one of the 2 library's in the city. Yup.

It is true, most people own a printer. We have 1 home computer at my house and it has 2 printers hooked up to it. Then my brother and I each have a laptop with a printer each. oO So for like 3 computers we have 4 printers.
